Half-day guided hike on Tongariro Alpine Crossing to Soda Springs near Mt Ngauruhoe, with geology lessons, tea stops, small groups.

“We enjoyed the walk, but the weather was cold and rainy, which was a negative. Not the fault of the company, but just affected our whole experience. The views were diminished due to the low cloud cover. For a summer hike, which is normally done in shorts and shirts, it was unbelievably cold and we had to wear puffer jackets and rain gear, gloves and warm hats. The park trails were very well maintained and pretty easy to navigate. Our guide did a very good job.”
